"It was perfect weather to do these 4 peaks. It was about 13.5 miles with 2831' elevation gain. I mostly used the fire roads but used small trails for La Tuna and Peak 2646. It's best to do this on a cloudy day as there is pretty much no shade." — rickb • May 23, 2019

"With the parking Areas choked with cars at Hostetter Fire Road (as always), I drove a mile on La Tuna Canyon Rd to the La Tuna Canyon Trailhead. The trail corkscrews it’s way up the slope right away. In about a mile, the trail splits. I turned right and followed the ridge route which led directly to Verdugo Motorway (the main dirt road that connects all the high points). I turned left with the intention of going to Mount Verdugo. I stopped short on one of Verdugo’s lower peaks because of time constraints (no big deal, really, since I had already visited Verdugo before). Instead, I managed to make my first visit to Peak 2646, while retracing my steps. A short spur trail leaves the dirt road and quickly rises to the summit. I enjoyed views toward Griffith Park and downtown LA. After the visit, I returned to the roadside parking area that I started from." — MikeTeeples • Mar 10, 2019

"3rd peak of 3-peak traverse to 1922-2256-2646 from Stough Canyon Nature Center(TH:1510'). 22 minutes and 0.7 miles from Point 2256, w/600' gain, 200' loss enroute, up the steep ridge trail from the 5-way intersection in the Park." — BradStemm • Jan 22, 2014
