After not quite feeling it today (with regards to doing a strenuous climb) I concentrated on a local target. I had been planning to climb this nearby summit all year now and today became the day. The hike is a short one and is quite a viewing spot for city and mountain views. A wide dirt road elevates from Mission Blvd up to the high points. I formed a semi-loop which led from the peak to a bench on one of the other high points. The bench was an Eagle Scout project from 2007. From the bench, I took a narrower use trail which leads right back down to Mission Blvd. The clear weather today gave me a lot to look at on the way down.
