"Drove from Wodonga out to Tallangatta Valley and made my way around to Mount Benambra VK3/VE-041. parked at the Fire Watcher's Hut and walked to the summit before setting up a little lower down the track to make 12 contacts. Packed up, returned to teh car and drove down along the entry route before heading around to teh saddle between Mt Cravensville and Peak 1390 m VK3/VE058 to park. Walked up through the scrub to reach the SOTA summit to set up, making 7 contacts. packed up, returned to the car and drove around to the NW side of Peak 1290 m to park. Walked up to the summit to set up and made 15 contacts. packed up, returned tot eh car and drove around to below Peak 1262 m VK3/VE-079. Parked and walked up through the old logging coupe to the summit and made 9 contacts. "Another day out from Wodonga. Travelled out to below Peak 1290m VK3/VE-069 to park. Walked in through the regrowth and up the edge of the old logging coupe to the summit to set up and made 14 contacts. Returned to the car and drove around to below Peak 1262 m VK3/VE-079 and walked to the summit to make 4 contacts. Returned to the car and drove around to Scrubby Creek Track and drove to below Peak 1407 m VK3/VE-051. Walked up the spur to the summit and made 12 contacts. Returned to the car and drove around to Peak 1393 m VK3/VE-056. Set up at the summit and made 11 contacts. " A day trip from Wodonga. Headed out to the high point of the Gibb Range Road near Peak1290 m, known in SOTA as VK3/VE-069 Gibb Range. Walked up to the summit and set up to activate, making 13 contacts. Returned to the car and drove around to Glamour Hill Track and to the high point south of Peak 1262 m, known in SOTA as VK3/VE-079. Set up the radio gear and made 8 contacts. I packed up and drove back to under the summit and walked up through the logged area to the summit. returned to the car and worked my way around to Scrubby Creek Track and drove up to below Peak 1407 m to park. Walked up the westerly spur to the summit and activated VK3/VE-051, making 12 contacts. Packed up and returned to the car. Drove around to Six Mile Ridge Track and around to the side of Peak 1393 m, known in SOTA as VK3/VE-056. I climbed the short distance to the summit. I set up nearby and made 12 contacts. I packed up and drove back to Dunstans Road, which I followed north to reach C545, then north to the Murray Valley Highway and then west back to Wodonga." — peterfreeman • Sep 8, 2018
"I headed out past Tallangatta and then south on Tallangatta Creek Road. Well down the valley I turned into Cravensville Road and climbed up onto the top of the range. At the ridge line, I turned right into Gibb Range Road and travelled about 5.3 km to an embarkation point that I have used previously to head to the first summit for the day.

The access route that I used followed an old access track to a logging coup, then another track to the edge of the coup and then along the coup boundary to the summit. The regrowth has become thicker since my last visit – perhaps a scrub bash from the eastern side might be considered next time. I set up near the summit.
Twenty minutes of operating on 40 m SSB yielded 12 contacts, all on 40 m SSB. I packed up and retraced my route to the vehicle. I then travelled on along Gibb Range Road to Beetoombah Spur Track and headed north.

"Travelled out from Wodonga and made my way to Gibb Range Road. Parked in the saddle below Peak 1290 m, known in SOTA as VK3/VE-069 Gibb Range. Climbed up through the scrub to reach the ridge line and up to the unmarked summit. The southern side had been logged. I made 24 contacts before packing up and walking back to the car along the edge of the logging coupe and then the regenerating access track.
I then drove east to Beetoomba Spur Track and north to Peak 1089 m VK3/VE-120 Beetoomba Spur. I set up the station off the eastern side of the track and made 52 contacts. I packed up and returned to the car and retraced my access route south to Gibb Range Road and headed west to Carmodys Track, following to Remote Radio Road to then park in the saddle below the summit of Peak 1192 m, VK3/VE-095. I walked up to the summit and set up the gear, making 7 contacts. I packed up and returned to the car and drove out along Remote Radio Road and Gibb Range Road to reach Benambra Corryong Road, which I followed north and then headed west to Wodonga." — peterfreeman • Oct 3, 2015
"Another trip out from Walwa. Drove to Shelley and made my way onto Cravensville Road. Headed south to Hastings Track, then west to park below the summit. A scrub bash up the hill until on the summit. Set up the radio gear to activate VK3/VE-112 with 9 contacts. Returned to the car, retraced the route to Cravensville Road and headed south onto Gibb Range Road. parked below the summit and climbed up through the scrub. Set up the gear and activated SOTA summit Gibb Range VK3/VE-069 with 6 contacts. Walked back to the car and continued along Gibb Range Road and then north on Beetoomba Spur Track. Drove to just below the high point at the summit and walked up reach Peak 1089 m, known in the SOTA scheme as VK3/VE-120 Beetoomba Spur. Activated with 5 contacts.
