"10/20/24: Final peak on a Special Seven Summit Sunday. Upon reaching Hoosier Pass, I successfully completed the entire Central Front Range Spine: summit of each peak and point along the Continental Divide (minimum 80’ prominence) from Berthoud Pass to Hoosier Pass. Officially beginning on 10/29/22 (an early season snowshoe traverse of the Stanley Ridge), it took nearly two years to the day to complete. Hey, there’s a lot of other mountains to climb out there too! Thankfully I was able to bring a solid, rotating crew along with me for most trips, was able to find some much needed solace on the occasion solo trip, and even found new friends along the way. I sharpened valuable scrambling skills, had my mettle and endurance tested, and weathered storms that were real character builders. But the real reward was experiencing the sublime beauty of the Central Front Range, its elusive wildlife, and its mysterious history. A true journey!

"From Hoosier Pass, I walked over Pt. 12,814 & Pt. 13,201 on my way up to Hoosier Ridge. I went over to Red Mountain and then over to Red Peak before returning the way I came. It was a perfect, cloudless day and whatever snow is left is melting fast." — WaxDr • Jun 2, 2018
