"Travelled from Wodonga to Mount Beauty then around to below Bull Hill. Walked up to the summit through the scrub to set up and activate VK3/VE-048, making 19 contacts. packed up and returned to the car. Drove back towards Tawonga, then up Eskdale Spur Track to Mount Emu. Set up on the summit to activate VK3/VE-061, making 17 contacts. Packed up and drove to the NE side of Mount Yorke. Climbed up to the summit and activated VK3/VE-082, making 11 contacts. I packed up ans descended to the car, then travelled north to below Peak 1182 m to park. I walked up to the summit to set up to activate VK3/VE-071, making 8 contacts. I returned to the car and travelled to Mount Tawonga VK3/VE-076 to set up and made 11. "Another long day out from Wodonga. Headed to Mount Beauty and then out to below Bull Hill VK3/VE-048. Climbed up to the summit and made 11 contacts. Returned to the car and drove around to Mount Emu VK3/VE-061 to set up on the summit and made 7 contacts. Drove on to the NE side of Mount Yorke VK3/VE-082. Climbed up the spur to the summit and made 7 contacts. Returned to the car and drove around to below Peak 1182 m VK3/VE-071. Walked up the old track tot eh summit and made 8 contacts. Returned to the car and drove around to Mount Tawonga VK3/VE-076 to set up near the trig, making 7 contacts. "Another day trip from Wodonga. Drove to Mount Beauty then around to Eskdale Spur Track and around to Mount Emu. Parked near the top and walked over to the high point. Set up the radio gear nearby to activate VK3/VE-061, making 13 contacts. Packed up and continued north along Eskdale Spur to park on the NE side of Mount Yorke. Walked up the old track to the summit to set up to activate VK3/VE-082, making 14 contacts. Returned to the car and drove around to NW of Peak 1182 m, known in SOTA as VK3/VE-071. Walked up to the summit and set up back on the nearby track, making 13 contacts. packed up, returned to the car and continued along Eskdale Spur to reach Mount Tawaonga, VK3/VE-076. I set up the gear and made 12 contacts. I packed up and retraced my access route to Bowmans No 1 Track and exitted to Eskdale, then back to Wodonga." — peterfreeman • Sep 10, 2018
"Another day trip from Wodonga. Headed to Mount Beauty and then around onto Eskdale Spur Tracka nd drove up to Mount Emu.
Parked and walked to the high point. Set up thee radio gear and activated VK3/VE-061. Packed up and continued north along Eskdale Spur. Parked at the at the northern end of the now bypassed track aver the summit and climbed up to the summit of Mount Yorke to set up and activate VK3/VE-082, making 8 contacts. Returned to teh car and travelled to the start of the blocked track to the summit of Peak 1182 m, know in SOTA as VK3/VE-071. Walked up to the summit and set up the gear to activate the summit, making 13 contacts. Walked back to the car and drove around to Mount Tawonga. Walked over to the trig. Set up nearby to activate VK3/VE-076, making 17 contacts. packed up and exitted to eskdale via Bowmans No 1 Track and Little Snowy Creek Road, then back to Wodonga." — peterfreeman • Feb 22, 2017
"Another day trip from Wodonga. Headed SE to Eskdale and then made my way up Little Snowy Creek track, then Smythes Road and Bowmans No1 Track to Eskdale Spur Track. Drove up to close to the summit of Mount Tawonga VK3/VE-076. Walked to teh trig before finding a spot nearby to set up the radio gear. I made 16 contacts before packing up and returning to the car. Drove back south on Eskdale Spur Track to the saddle north of Mount Yorke to park. Loaded up the gear and climbed up to the summit of Mt Yorke VK3/VE-082 and found a spot to set up. I made 14 contacts before packing up and returning to the car. Drove back north along Eskdale Spur Track to the track junction below Peak 1182 m VK3/VE-071. The track has been closed, with several large trees dropped across the track plus some earth mounds constructed. I walked up the old track to the summit and set up beside the track. Here I made 16 contacts before I packed up and walked back to the car. I then headed back out to Eskdale. With plenty of time still available, I drove towards Mitta Mitta and on to Dartmouth and then up Mount Benambra Road.
