I begin the route at Cala del Cuervo, walking south along the La Molata trail.

I head towards El Playazo beach, where there is also an old fortress that once guarded the coast from pirate attacks.
The area remains quite wild and very similar to how it was centuries ago. A path climbs to Collado del Bergantín, from where I hike across the hill to reach Cerrico Romero. A little further on, passing near Cala del Bergantín, I reach the 106-meter peak.

A group of seagulls flies above me, but they don't seem aggressive because they aren't breeding yet.
