"Only had 3 hours to spare before seeing building contractors. Did the circuit in 2hrs 35 min. Visibility not good on top with fast moving thick clouds; remains of snow and ice meant that the descent to Stickle Tarn was a bit tedious." — johnandsue4fun • Jan 12, 2022
"A misty, cool, slippery day. Starting from the New Dungeon Ghyll hotel we ascended Pavey Ark via ‘Easy Gully’, on to Harrison Stickle, Pike of Stickle and Loft Crag. Three and a half hours exercise in the clouds with Susan - we did get good views across to Blea Tarn on the descent. " — johnandsue4fun • Dec 20, 2021
"Parked in the NT car park by Stickle Barn for a round of the Langdale Pikes on a sunny day, but with a strong chilly easterly. Awkward descent to Bright Beck from the back of Pavey Ark, and down to Stickle Tarn. We then joined the steep rugged path down by Stickle Ghyll to the car park. With DB, RP and BC." — marktrengove2 • Apr 9, 2019
"Part of Outdoor Activities Course of Leeds University Graduate Certificate of Education. With some other participants (Group B). From Stickle Tarn where we had camped. Walked to Pavey Ark summit by path on south side. Continued to Pike of Stickle and Scafell Pike before descending to Wasdale Head." — peter43 • Sep 23, 1960
"From Stickle Tarn, having erected tent. Part of Outdoor Activities Course of Leeds University Graduate Certificate of Education. McAllistair and I set off at 19:00 to go up Jack's Rake on Pavey Ark. 20:00 arrived at summit of Pavey Ark and watched sunset. 20:15 arrived back at camp." — peter43 • Sep 22, 1960
