"I started this hike at 10 AM at the Paseo Miramar Trailhead. The trail is good and nicely maintained as I headed up, and there were weird forest along the trail, and a meadow full of vines and a alien looking forest. Then I turned left and then headed above the clouds. There are nice views as I headed higher and views to the surrounding hills and the housing development here. Then I headed downhill through a small forest and then turned left towards the overlook. Then eventually I saw views towards the CA-27 canyon and then summited the overlook. The views from the overlook were nice, although the city is covered by clouds. " — lc444 • Oct 27, 2024
"Parker Mesa is an old favorite that I wind up visiting every so often. Some days you get good coastal views, on other days, not so much. Either way, it is still worth the effort." — MikeTeeples • Jun 4, 2016
"Took the alternative approach to the overlook from Topanga State Park. I added about an additional half mile to the road hike by parking in the free lot before reaching the park entrance." — MikeTeeples • Apr 26, 2009
"This is the shortest route to Parker Mesa. Although it requires parking on Vista Pacifica Street, where parking is limited. Several parking lots were built on Los Liones Dr to alleviate congestion from all the parking by outdoor enthusiasts. The Paseo Miramar Trail begins here and arrives at the overlook in a rather direct way." — MikeTeeples • Dec 31, 2002
