"Good option for a hot day to start early on a W aspect. A bit more scrambly than expected. Lots of loose boulders up top which required patience. Taking the alternate route down wasn't really better, some bushwhacking and the bugs were as bad as I've ever experienced in the Rockies. This was a way bigger day than expected, Kane's time of 4-6 hours is light. It's a 6-8 hour day for most. 4 would be insane fast and not a realistic time. Bring water shoes, you're not getting across with dry boots. Ask me how I know. Excellent views. " — jakefinnan • Jul 1, 2021
"Scrambled up some ledges and steep slopes to gain the ridge. Mount Fay's summit was covered in clouds all day while Mount Babel's summit remained clear. Did not try to go up Tower of Babel GPS error." — Randy • Jul 16, 2020
"Started out in the fog, and made it through the clouds. Being above the clouds was really awesome as the majority of the neighbouring mountains were in full sun, while the valley floor was blanketed with cloud." — BertB • Oct 4, 2015
"Did East Ridge of Panorama Ridge via Panorama Meadows. I hoped to traverse to North Peak (Kane's summit). The rest of the route appeared to be "upper moderate" scramble. Some people in our group didn't feel comfortable on very slippery rock and in dismal weather condition (intermittent rain and snow), so we turned back even though I was eager to carry on. Oh well, next time..." — Taras • Sep 22, 2013
"Ignored Alan Kane's route to the shorter summit. Walked around Consolation Lakes and picked a direct route to what seemed to be the highest point along the ridge. However, upon reaching this high point, noticed the south end of the ridge was higher. Lost some elevation and gained the summit. Encountered some difficult scrambling, but it might have been avoidable. Full trip report: http://www.clubtread.com/sforum/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=50968" — markostavric • Jul 7, 2012
