"Winter is my favorite season to visit Little Rock City and today's outing reinforced this opinion. The conditions were ideal for me, unlike six months ago when the summertime humidity nearly suffocated me. Temperatures ranged from the high-teens before sunrise to the mid-40s midday, and there was minimal wind. The snow was shallow and had a light crunch upon impact. It was easy walking for the most part. Mountain biking in Little Rock City is significantly more challenging with numerous black diamond trails here.
The Finger Lakes Trail between Oyer Mountain and Camp Seneca was more open than most trails in the area. I got a good look at some of the surrounding mountains including my next destination, Smith Mountain, on the eastern side of Hungry Hollow Road. " — theascent • Feb 12, 2023
