"My peakbagging interest is hiking the tallest 102 major peaks in New Mexico with all the minor peaks in between. There are 169 of them and I have 142. I do not know if I will be able to get them all. It is not the will, rather the way. Some of the peaks have permission issues that I do not know if I will be able to overcome. These peaks have an elevation range from 10,800 feet, to the tallest peak in New Mexico, Wheeler Peak, with an elevation of 13,161 feet. I am not really interested in peaks with an elevation lower than 10,800 feet, yet Capilla Peak, elevation 9368, and Osha Peak, elevation 9313, are on a list of peaks on peakery.com called the “Albuquerque Home Court Peaks.” There are 19 of the peaks and I already had most of them, so I decided to complete the list. We could have driven all the way to the Capilla Peak, but if I am not able to put a fair amount of physical effort into the peak, I will not count it. We parked about 2 miles to the south of the pea..." — Phil-Robinson • Jun 12, 2017
"The Manzano Crest Trail is completely devastated on Osha Peak. Lots of fire damage, lots of fallen trees. It took us maybe an hour of wandering back and fourth in order to figure out how to get off the peak and pick the trail back up. It involved lots of steep scrambling and tree hopping." — Brian-Pilgrim • Aug 23, 2014
