"Last day of hiking before the Hoover Dam. We had minimal breakfast in our hotel room in the Maswik this morning. PBJ's were made with butt-break and remnant snacks. The views were amazing heading down into the canyon from the south rim (South Kaibab Trail). We pushed down into toward Skeleton Point but Beth started to bonk from lack of propper snackage and food. We stopped just 200 yards from Skeleton Point and headed back up - didn't want to kill anyone on the last day of hiking. We ended up with about 6-7 miles and 2k feet in elevation. Stopped up on Mather Point on the way back through and hit up the gift shops again." — wiweasel • Nov 27, 2022
"I began my hike around 3pm and finished around 7pm as it was getting dark. Yaki and Mather were walk up easy ones, O'Neill Butte was much more difficult relatively speaking. I descended the canyon on South Kaibab trail for O'Neill. " — mchikes • Oct 19, 2020
"Interesting and complex route up the north face. 3 pitches of 5.easy with some interesting crux moves including a squeeze chimney I got stuck in for about 15 minutes and a mantle exit onto the summit plateau. Incredible ~175’ rappel off a dead tree near the summit down the sheer sandstone East Face. A truly memorable climb. Complete TR: http://www.themtsarecalling.com/oneill" — Christopher • Oct 22, 2017
