My brother, son, and I were initially going to do the Apache Junction highpoint, but we saw this and decided to go for it instead. I carried my son on my shoulders for most of the off trail portion, but he climbed a little himself close to the top. The views of the Superstitions were awesome, and we had a perfect evening for this hike.
