"A very fun and scenic mountain. Took the PCT up from the Snowgrass Flats, then up to the summit from the junction, requiring only a little easy scrambling. Overall rating 8/10, stunningly scenic views and a fun little scramble if you happen to be hiking in the Goat Rocks Wilderness" — MountainQuest • Jul 31, 2021

"Brilliant day after getting soaked in a hail and rain-filled night at Goat Lake. Baking in the heat even at the summit. We were tempted to scramble the ridge over to Ives Peak but in a rare moment of self-restraint opted to relax and eat pitas with massive chunks of pepperjack and salami instead. After that we headed back down the PCT all the way to a great elevated campsite in Cispus Basin for an attempt on Mt. Gilbert the next day. Finished setting up camp right before a torrential downpour and hailstorm. Soaked again." — scott • Aug 23, 2014
