"Intense 4th class down climb at very end. Other than that pretty chill . Raw dogged some water from oak creek where I broke off to tag it. Looked clear and was cool and tasty on this hot day. Looks like 52 peak club was on rainbow mtn today but I missed them, must have either started real early or did it from juniper canyon . I got 18 red rock peaks left in r&s
Peakery is also getting ridiculous with their elevation stats, it said I had 6100 ft before I saved it , it always shorts me at least 1000

"Forced out of our normal Mount Charleston area alpine hikes for the time being (due to wildfires), we decided to brave the heat & hit Red Rock again. Parked at the Oak Creek trailhead on SR 159 & hiked in to the South Fork of Oak Creek. We took the standard route to the peak, ascending near the back of the canyon & up the slabs to the summit. We had mild weather on the way up. We even got a few sprinkles towards the beginning of the hike. From the top, we descended down the shortcut route through the steep bowl back to the North Fork of Oak Creek, then the long, hot slog back to the vehicles. My Jeep said 109 degrees!! Yikes!" — Kevin • Jul 7, 2013

"Parked at the Oak Creek trailhead on the main road and followed Oak Creek into the south fork of Oak Creek Canyon. From there, we made our way to the base of the mountain and ascended via the east ridge. This route was full of class 3 & 4 climbing (almost the whole way up) with some EXTREME exposure! We descended via the north fork of Oak Creek Canyon." — Kevin • Oct 19, 2012
