If you like bushwhacking (and I know you don't), then this is the hike for you. The first part of the hike is up an easy forest road. However, all that goes away when you veer off up the ridgeline to the peak. The brush and chaparral is never impenetrable, but I WOULD advise long pants. Found two different benchmarks, as well, so "Yea!" for me.
