"Mount Nebo was a very steep, challenging hike. The hike was incredibly windy and the loose shale rock made the hike far more treacherous than I expected. The hardest part begins after the saddle between North Peak and Mount Nebo with the spine between Mt. Nebo's sub-peak and summit the greatest obstacle for those afraid of steep drop-offs and narrow trails comprised of loose rocks that fall after each step. The scramble to the summit was a class III that could easily be considered a class IV at varying parts. Very rewarding to have finished it, but probably would not try it again on a windy day. I bagged North Peak on the way back for an extra 1 mile added to the hike.
I started the hike at 0952, reached the saddle between North and Nebo at 1131 and summitted Mt. Nebo at 1237. I made it back to my car by 1516 for a total of 13 miles. " — mchikes • Oct 22, 2020
