"Took Carolyn's Trail up and Ted's Trail down. Both were still a little snowy and icy towards the summit but nothing too bad. We took Cliff Trail down from the summit which winds up at an expansive scenic ledge with views of Mt. Monadnock, the Wapack Range, and even the Boston skyline. Ted's Trail follows a stream and over Bonner Falls which was a nice way to end the hike." — JCalautti • Mar 31, 2024
"It was time to revisit these old friends, since I didn't get a start until mid afternoon. I haven't hiked them from the north side, so I left from the (full) Mountain Rd parking area. The black flies are out for good now, so I kept moving. After reaching the summit I checked out the Cliff Tr. for 1/4 mi. to the cliff overlook, which was splendid. Then continued on to Middle Pack." — SteveM_StickMan • May 16, 2020
"Up Ted's Trail, over on Cliff Trail, then down Carolyn's. A lot of water, everywhere, considering the recent heavy rain. Nasty NW wind near the summit. Not much sun. The waterfalls on Ted are nice right now." — Alohabuffy • Dec 15, 2019
"started out from Mountain Road parking lot and went south along the Wapack trail to Pack Monadnock. took the the Cliff trail loop on the way back. After crossing over North Pack on our way out we ended up assisting another hiker who injured her knee and could not continue out on her own." — k2rider123 • Oct 13, 2019
"I completed the Monadnock 5 Peaks (8.1 miles) earlier in the day. Then I drove to Pack Monadnock and completed the Pack Monadnock 3 Peaks (7.5 miles). This is an aggressive challenge: Monadnock 8 Peaks in one day." — garydavidsonruns • Jul 16, 2017
"Not too damp on the trail today after heavy rains from Saturday. The majority of the trail was a pine needle stew with slippery rocks, boulders, and exposed roots bubbling up from it. Some of the steeper pitches along the way were made tougher by the thin layer of water coating some of the smoother rock faces on the way up. The summit was breezy and beautiful, with nice views of South Pack and big ol' Monadnock." — HikeLikeMike • Jul 2, 2017
"Started about 9 a.m. with only one other car in the parking lot. Some brief and light showers made the moss-covered granite a bit slippery. Say some raptors on the summit with nice views all around. Tried to summit this past winter but turned around near a rock scramble due to ice. Glad to have made it !" — rjnick • May 3, 2017
"Came in from Miller St Park. A little icy coming down Pack, but main Wapack trail was fine. About 10-15 degs and when exposed to NW winds it was chilly. But took Cliff trail down from summit, with Eastern exposure, it was calm and sunny. Cliff trail was nice." — Alohabuffy • Mar 11, 2017
"Out and back from the northern end of the Wapack Trail. Easy hike to not very dramatic views at the summit. Tacking on the Cliff Walk is definitely worth it. It was a clear day, and I could see all the way to Mount Greylock." — RSperling • Sep 20, 2015
"Brought the kids and wife, we had a great day. It started out rainy and than the sky cleared and it was great. When we reached the top we also checke dout the views from the cliff trail." — blakebless • Jun 3, 2012
