"The sun was shining on the drive up to North Conway. As we started the hike on Diana’s Bath trail, we stopped to take pictures as the sun streamed beautifully through the tall pines. Yeah, that was it. Sun gone. Sadly cloudy all day up Red Ridge, over to North Moat, and down the back side. Oh well, still an excellent 10 miler. " — Alohabuffy • Nov 27, 2020
"A Moat Mountain traverse for my red-lining finish. We went from North to South so I could finish on South Moat. It was a beautiful day for it. Drank some champagne on the summit. It is a surreal feeling that I finished this multi year project. " — newenglandwarrior • Aug 7, 2020
"A return to North Moat and some red-lining. Parked at Diana's Bath and headed up the Moat Mtn Tr. At the summit, I hung out for about 45 minutes, enjoying the views this time. I headed over to Red Ridge Tr and came down that way. A nice loop." — newenglandwarrior • Sep 14, 2018
"The final peak on a brutally cold day. I saved this peak for last so that I could look down on the area I grew up. Regrettably, I could not stay long on the summit because the wind chill was in the negatives. I will return in the summer so that I may enjoy the views longer. 8.4 miles." — newenglandwarrior • Dec 10, 2016
"Traversed Moat ridge starting north and going south with a car at either end. Beautiful clear day with great views at multiple spots. One of the better day hikes I have done in awhile." — SteveG • Jul 4, 2016
"Weather was always changing on this fun, scenic and quite challenging mountain. Hail, snow and rain mixed in with sun. Great views in so many places with a wild wind at true summit." — Alohabuffy • Oct 17, 2015
"Drew's ankle was killing him, so we had to decide whether or not to continue from Middle Moat. We made the right call, trekking to the top of North, where we were rewarded with an incredible panoramic view. " — Cornellian • Jun 30, 2013
