"Big Loop: Nineteen Mile Brook Tr up Carter Dome Trail to south Carter. Across the ridge. Quick bushwhack to Lethe. Tagged north carter. Down IMP Trail to Camp Dodge Cutoff and a short roadwalk back to the Nineteen Mile Brook trailhead. " — mikeinfantino • Apr 11, 2020

"Started off the day at the Carter-Moriah trailhead and made our way up the 4.1 moderate trail to Moriah and the AT. From there we crossed the ridge through the Carters and stayed at the Carter Notch hut (another great hut team!) The hike was hot and dry and incredibly beautiful - that last drop to the is a looong one and we just made the dinner bell!" — deb-and-rob • Jun 16, 2018

"Moriah-Carters Traverse from Gorham. I completed the loop back to my car with a planted bike at the bottom of the 19-mile Brook Trail. Suffered from severe IT Band problems during the hike, but was able to complete the 4 peaks." — klotito • Jul 14, 2013

"Solo hiked the Carter-Moriah range, it was in the clouds the whole time but very mild weather in general. Bits of gusty wind on the bald tops and faces, and plenty of drizzle, with moisture that stuck the whole time. Despite that, it was beautiful and a great experience up there. Wish I could have caught some views of the Pressies, but oh well!" — chrisr00d • Jun 27, 2012

"7.4 mile backpack from Carter Notch Hut to Imp Shelter with Frank.
Carter Dome ascent 1600' or more. Tough descent from North Carter also.
Bypassed Mt. Hight (despite reputation for great views.)
Rain was forecast for both 7/30 and 7/31, but none came. Drought continued--good for us backpacking, of course." — barbaratraver • Jul 31, 1991
