"A long day, for sure! We did the reverse of most people's loops when doing the Arc Dome/North Arc Dome/Cirque Mountain set. We went up the Stewart Creek trail side, to the south and west. It was a nice long ridgeline and the trail was easy to follow, old doubletrack/an old road of some sort. We went straight out to Arc Dome and got snowed on and hailed on and rained on. We were the first to reach the summit for the day, but it was a crowded day - a group of 6-8 with two or three dogs was right behind us, and then there were two or three other smaller groups and singleton hikers we met on the way back. The day was blustery and cold, and as I mentioned we got snowed on, we got hailed on, and we got rained on. Thankfully it is a very easy to follow trail, so I was never worried, and the wind was not nearly to the level that made us turn around on Bunker Hill the week before. I did not appreciate having to drop 1000' just to go back up 1500' to the summit, and then having to turn back around and drop down just to go back up. I got North Arc Dome and Cirque Peak on the way back. Ken did not join me and just stayed on the trail. There was still a huge snowbank and a tricky snow crossing ..." — psychikingjes • Jun 4, 2022
"Hiked up the Stewart Creek Trail to Cirque Mountain, then traversed the ridge to North Arc Dome, then finally up to Arc Dome. We descended the NE Ridge back to the Toiyabe Crest Trail." — Kevin • Jul 25, 2015
