"Great views of the high peaks from this mtn. Pretty good incline the last mile! Do this one 1st if you're doing Round mtn in the same day from rte 73. Your legs will thank you. I clocked 9.9M out and back for these two today." — Retiredtop2004 • Aug 15, 2021

"4-18-2021. Tom ,Black and I left the Round Pond trailhead at 7:45 with light rain and 40 degrees. Trail was muddy from the melting snows of midweek. From Round Pond on the snow got deeper. 8-10 inches as we approached the summit. Barefooted it to the summit. Views were 360 and with small clouds in all the valleys. Very pretty! 7.88 miles RT in 4hrs 6 mins. Great hike!" — garyogden • Apr 18, 2021

"Adirondack camping trip to test out some new gear. Cold and windy conditions but we stayed toasty. Only bummer of the trip was finding our car broken into when we returned to the trailhead. Luckily nothing of great value was lost." — wacbravo • Dec 5, 2020

"Our destination today, Last minute decision Starring fellow 46er Lisa Crandall, Hiking Noonmark Mountain 3556ft Keen Valley N.Y. via Ausable Mountain Trailhead. Id say it would be around 5 miles back to the car But steady incline with a few tough ice covered rock scrambles near he summit, Micros a must for the last half mile near the summit. Perfect day banging out our first experience on this mountain and it didn't disappoint, Great friends doing what we love,, Take A Hike!" — ramjet1963 • Nov 23, 2019

"Deep snow - trail mostly broken and packed down well. 2 feet of snow at the top in places. Virtually no ice (snow covered). Snowshoes throughout. Hardly any wind. 30-40 degrees very sunny. Saw 2 guys coming the other way." — rhinteractive • Mar 26, 2018

"Foliage slightly past peak. Beautiful fall day.
Enormous views of the Lower Great Range, Marcy with snow cover, Ausable Club, Whiteface with snow cover, and Giant and Rocky Peak Ridge. " — scottturner • Oct 17, 2017

"DEFINITELY one of my favourite hikes! 360-degree views, massive open summit and the hike itself, while almost entirely uphill with few flat sections, is definitely worth it. Some great lookouts on the way up shortly before the summit too." — RangersApprentice • Nov 19, 2016

"Headed out to do Noonmark and Round. Beautiful day for November !! and beautiful views to match. This is one of my favourites in the Adirondacks for sure. Trail was very steep and challenging in spots. But, those views are worth the effort." — HikingViking • Nov 19, 2016

"Solo. Felt good to put on my Salomon trail runners again. I headed straight up after a midnight shift at work in order to stay awake for the day. Pretty challenging hike for a turnaround day, very reminiscent of hiking the Devil's Path in the Catskills - lots of rock scrambling on a really beautiful trail. I got lucky with an absolutely bluebird day with phenomenal views, and the summit all to myself. There was some ice on the upper parts of the trail, but nothing I couldn't navigate with just my shoes on, no spikes. This was a really wonderful hike & I'll definitely be coming back to it in the future. " — kellieirene • May 10, 2016

"Enjoyed this as a fantastic sunset hike. Parked at AMR lot (0.3 from trailhead) and started on trail ~6:45pm. Trail starts out as an easy stroll up the road with a turn off for the Stimson Trail (1.5 miles from this point). Once on this trail the topo picks up a bit with a few fun scrambles as well. Only took about an hour and 10 minutes including a few photo stops to reach the summit. Chilly sunset but the views were great. A bit slick in spots on the way down but not too bad." — deb-and-rob • Jun 6, 2015
