"got up at 4.45am so we could be at the car park at 6.30, all went well and we started our hike (we are not trampers at all just day hikers) it took us 5.5 hours to do the first leg with many stops and rest's. once we got to the hut we quickly enjoyed lunch and seeing the great views. it took 4.5 hours due to 85% being down hill. we are now all very sore and can hardly move and are dreading what its going to feel like tomorrow but weather was great.
