"Really solid few hours. Goat bed to grey cap is pretty mid, but coming down grey cap and going up new Peak I thought was very fun. Goat bed is in dire need of a new register. Need to do a mega loop with all of these peaks one day " — joshortman • Dec 15, 2022

"11.9.18...The most Epic Mountaineering Day of My Life. 10.5 Peaks, 11 miles, 4,200’ gain, 8hrs of sustained scrambling, traversing all the Calico Ridges in Red Rock in their entirety with Horse Peak as an extra credit (out of the way) running finale. I failed at one of the exposed go around corners along the way but I hope Harlan forgives me for backing down on that one. I did most of the hard stuff but I have my limits. My hands are completely bruised and battered and my hips and glutes are scraped clean of many layers of skin from crawling through sandstone all day. Thank you Harlan for keeping me safe with hand lines and body parts. Thanks for going out (pre event) and scoping out the exact route and stashing water and Gatorade. I can’t believe how strong we are. My mind is blown!.....Calico South Peak, Calico Hills 1 Peak, Red Book Peak, Calico Hills 2 Peak, Calico Tanks Peak, Red Cap (and its twin Peak Turtle Head Jr.), New Peak, Kraft Peak, Big Bird Peak (east Kraft) & Horse Peak (Peak 3844). I’m calling this signature route, “The long way to Horse Peak”." — paula.raimondi • Nov 9, 2018

"Harlan took me on a thrill ride of a hike today! 5 miles and 2,000’ of adrenaline rush! I had some unfinished business with New Peak and then we traversed Kraft Mtn and all of its lumps and Blocks including Big Bird Peak, which we had no idea even existed. I was driving out of Calico after the hike and ran into Karl and Karla and went on part of their run for 5 more miles. It was a fantastic and memorable way to spend the last day of my 40’s. (Which is crazy because I’m only 39! Lol ....thanks Harlan!" — paula.raimondi • Feb 1, 2018

"Harlan took me on a 5 peak Route that was absolutely thrilling and amazing. 4:15hrs and 5.5 miles of intense scrambling atop colorful sandstone. A Great workout and confidence building activity. We Left Kraft Mtn parking lot and started with Red Note Peak, then Calico Tank So., Calico Tank No., Red Cap then a complete traverse of the rugged limestone New Peak Mtn and ridge. We finished down Hell Hill. Amazing experience. It was very Fun playing on the rocks like a kid." — paula.raimondi • Nov 3, 2016
