After Mont Aux Source I am of to Namahadi. I camped on top on the way back ,and went back to the parking the following morning .It rained almost most of the night. I have been informed that it was 26km but I have walked 32km.

Did you make use of a guide? We attempt it 2 months ago couldn't find the peak

williamhugo

No I did not. My first trip to Drakensberg three highest peaks I made use of a guide but not to Namahadi. If you dont go over Mont Exsource and take the path on the escarpment's edge it is about 26.5km. The exact coordinates are 28 45'19,1 degrees South and 28 51' 57.5 Degrees East. I think in decimals it is - 28.755317 and 28.865983. It started to snow when I went back to the car park, so I reckon it is still snowing there right now. Good luck.

I was also looking for a peak, but its the same as Mafadi. If you use the coordinates you will find some stones packed on each other.

We found 2 peaks with those stones packed but we were still 3km off the correct Namahadi Peak. Me and the 2 boys stuck at reading Coordinates that's why I paid a guide but he also ended but not really knowing where it is...we walked on the other side passed Namahadi pass and on the border of kzn/freestyle and Lesotho there were no water we ended up walking 16 km without water. If you ever going on any of the 9 peaks can you please let us know if you feel like having company...we just had bad luck from the beginning got lost on Mafadi with a guide - R6000 wasted Did not find Namahadi RR3900 wasted. Did Toringkop did not get feedback if we were successful. Really de-motivated!
