"Cairngorm Club Easter meet at Ballachulish. With two fellow members. The start from Kinlochleven was delayed by heavy rain. We left mid-morning, going by the path to the east of Allt Coire na Bà, joining the track from Mamore Lodge. We went steeply up to the south ridge of Na Gruagaichean and up the ridge to the summit. We went on the NW Top, Stob Coire a’ Chairn, An Garbhanach, and An Gearanach. We returned over An Garbhanach, skirted under Stob Coire a’ Chairn to the NE, and went down to Mamore Lodge. Given a lift by another club member to Kinlochleven. Some mist; snow was patchy and only high up." — peter43 • Apr 21, 1984
"Staying at HF Guest House, Alltshellach. Coach to just short of Kinlochleven. With HF A Party. We walked up well made path to join the military road. We ascended steep grass slopes, to ridge, to summit of Am Bodach. We descended fairly steep ridge to col between Am Bodach and Stob Coire a' Chàirn for lunch. We ascended Stob Coire a' Chàirn. We descended to col between Stob Coire a' Chàirn and Na Gruagaichean. Here everybody took A party extension up 900' of grass and gravel to twin summits of Na Gruagaichean (3400' and 3442'). We continued beyond the summit to avoid crags L, before descending scree (rather large). At the bottom we bore left and made for the path to Kinlochleven, which could be seen below." — peter43 • Sep 4, 1961
