Beautiful snowy day in the Whites Saturday. We were breaking trail for the first part of our hike up Whiteface. Heading up blueberry ledge got a bit sketchy in places. The fresh powder made the ice beneath very slippery, but with some strong hand holds, and tactical maneuvering, we made it up! We passed by the view-less summit of Whiteface, and over to Passaconaway. We made our way up to the summit, where we dug out the cairn, and snapped a couple of pictures. And then practically ran back down to the parking lot. Where the near-full moon decided to reveal itself as we came out of the woods; for a few minutes before it disappeared back into the clouds.

Great day!
