Kali and I left the parking lot at 9:30, and hiked to the first nice spot for her to swim in the brook, then tried a couple more swimming spots on the way up. She approved of all of them. We arrived at the summit at about 12:40, so for us, we made good time.
Had lunch and chatted with three nice men we saw on top then headed back down, stopping for Kali to swim at least 12 times on the way down. She thought all the hiking up was worth the amount of lovely water she got to enjoy.

I must say, the "moderate" part of that trail seemed to go on forever, and the steepness of the switchbacks was a bit much after all that climbing. The roots are wicked slippery too on the top half of the hike. But, the views were great, the woods are beautiful, and I'm glad we did it.
