Started at the public pull-off down the road from Bear Creek Lodge (parking is not free @ BCL) at the edge of the park. Started at the base of trail 140 >> Saddle Junction >> 130 >> Day Mountain >> 130/160 >> Mt. Kit Carson >> 160 >> Saddle Junction >> 140 >> Mt Spokane >> 140 >> car.
On trail time was about 6 hours. There were no mountain bikes either way. Saw only one other hiker while descending from Mt. Kit Carson. Estimate hike to be about 14-15 miles and 3500ish feet of gain." — zachmitch • Jul 25, 2017
"Clear morning with high clouds in the afternoon. 75 degrees. Took 131 to 130 where there's a camping area. At the back of one of the campsites are two large white rocks that indicate a trail that you can rage directly to the summit. 2 hours round-trip with a liter of water. Talked with Mike and Smokey for 10 minutes. " — zachmitch • May 31, 2015
