Did a loop from the Woolshed Creek car park. Used the track system up to the summit. This took 4hrs including a break at Acland Shelter on the way up. On the summit I had a 10 minute snack and photo stop then descended over the tops in a westerly direction for about 4½ km's until I hit the track back down to the car park. In the bush I saw one deer close up and amidst scrubby bluffs saw one NZ falcon (Karearea) which screeched at me until I passed by. The wx was cloudy but fine and it was moderately windy thus not too hot!
