It was kind of a drab, overcast/cloudy day, but I got a few decent photos. The Shortcut trail up Hobbs Road lives up to its reputation as one of the hardest trails in the Bay Area. My recommendation would be to do the four-peak loop at Mount Diablo if you're looking for a hard hike in the Bay Area. It's prettier and more fun, and roughly the same overall difficulty. I'll probably return to Mt Sizer, but it's not my favorite hard hike.
