This years trip to Shasta was a repeat of '98, with the exception of Brian's uncle. We again camped at Helen Lake. Woke up at "0 dark 30", or 5am. Hit Red Banks by 9:30, Misery hill by 11 and the summit at around 12. What a great view and feeling of accomplishment. We had the summit to ourselves, so that was a nice bonus. Doing it again in '13. June 23rd under a full moon. Probably going to camp at Horse Camp and do the long hike. Can't wait!!
