"My first hike of the day. I hiked in from the east up to the col, then headed up Everett first. Steep hike up. I reached the summit but there weren't really any views due to the low trees and bushes. I explored a short ways on the AT north and found a rock that gave me views to the east. I then headed back to the col and headed up Race. There are views there. Nice ones too. I then headed back to my car and headed off to my second hike. " — newenglandwarrior • Aug 30, 2024
"Kicking off the long-hike cobwebs with a good out-and-back on the Massachusetts AT. It rained on me for a good portion of the return trip, which made descending Mount Race and Mount Everett a bit hairy." — wacbravo • Jun 25, 2017
"Day 2 of our backpack of the AT from Jug End road to Rt 41. After visiting Mt Everett we continued north to Mt Race for lunch. The hazy/cloudy weather reduced the wonderful views considerably. Onward to Sages Ravine for a swim and spend the night." — Nimblefoot • Aug 20, 1994
