"The hike up was enjoyable as always, with lots of vistas and lots of climbing to get your legs working.
The hike down Mount Olympia Road is miserable. There are two miles of steep, loose dirt and rocks—a serious fall hazard even with poles. The first of these miles is heavily overgrown, including poison oak. Every time I do this route, I think to myself that it's not worth it and that it would be better to skip Mount Olympia." — sareine • Jun 7, 2020

"Lovely, warm day doing the peak around of Mt Diablo. Started from Clayton at dawn and from there to Mitchell Rock, Twin Peaks, Eagle Peak, Juniper Campground, Mount Diablo, North Peak and Mount Olympia.
The descent from North Peak and Mount Olympia are a bit steep and unstable, so poles may be helpful. Also, the trail from North Peak to Mount Olympia is pretty overgrown." — sareine • May 23, 2020

"Great day. Up and down, no issues. Did not see a geodetic marker. Warm and windy at the top. No wildlife seen. The last 3/4 of a mile is quite the incline, from the summit to car was very quick. " — puddlepirate • Nov 3, 2016
