A solid day. Started at the trailhead at about 7am got back at 10pm by headlamp. We went at a steady pace, spent 25 minutes on the summit. The weather was perfect. The ridge route take one up a triangular slab climb, which has severe exposure. After that there is a bit of climbing to get the summit. We used our climbing shoes for this section. Could we have done without climbing shoes? Maybe, but we used the climbing shoes and had no issues. From there, we found our way back down the other side and proceeded with the long walk back to the car.
