"The experience would have been better had I taken the time to enjoy it, rather than rush it after work. The normal road is closed, adding either a detour down gold camp road, or a 1.5 mile (one way) walk from the front parking lot near the nature reserve. The backside of the mountain is gorgeous and worth the climb. It was very windy at the top, and light was getting low, so I almost immediately turned around and headed back. "Day trip to summit Cutler and Muscoco. #TwoHikingMamas #LnLHikeColorado set out to log another hike on the #52HikeChallenge. It was a great hike with plenty of ice and snow and lots of sunshine and warm temps too. Wore our Yax for part of the trip!" — Hikermom29 • Feb 27, 2016

"Trail became steep and rugged after leaving the Cutler trail. There didn't appear to be any clearly defined path for the final ascent so I left cairns to find my way back down the same route I took up. Great 360 degree views from the top. Had the whole mountain to myself once I left the Cutler trail...not another soul on the trail or on top." — TakinIt2Type2 • Apr 21, 2013
