"Came back for this one after 7 years. Turned around only 10 minutes from the summit when attempting on a winter day from Walker Pass with Owens and Morris- was off route scrambling on icy rock, missed the easy use trail below the ridge line to the south. Not bad to have a reason to go back with summit views of the Whitney area in snow! Complete TR: https://themtsarecalling.com/jenkins/" — Christopher • Apr 4, 2020
"Morris/Jenkins doubleheader via the PCT from Walker Pass. Saw a rattlesnake shortly into the hike; thankfully the only one. The route up Jenkins is pretty far from the trailhead, but the PCT in this section is a joy to hike. Really nicely built trail the whole way. Got to scope out the Russell -> Backus ridge traverse for the next day too." — edg • May 4, 2019

"I hiked Morris Peak, Mt. Jenkins, and Owens Peak on Day 1 of a 3-day backpacking trip along the PCT in the Owens Peak Wilderness. There's a nice use-trail from the PCT and some fun scrambling towards the top. I started with 3 liters, but by the time I climbed all 3 peaks and made it to the next water source I was pretty dehydrated. It was warmer than I expected, making this a pretty hard day. Camped in upper Cow Canyon near a small seasonal stream." — klotito • May 27, 2017

"Cold. Snowy.Very lovely. However, the route was longer than I thought and the last hour and a half of hiking was entirely by starlight. : P Protip: The winter has less sunlight. Yeah who knew?" — Irrationalist • Feb 10, 2013
