"Managed to get to trail head after abandoning one car for high clearance vehicle, the river has taken to the road and deep water and wash out in a number of places, new road on other side of valley may be better option, to be explored? Looked at north coll but conditions not favorable for rockfall and decided on long screw bash around bowls. Some snow to help with screw but melting fast. Trail finding in dark and through avalanche debris is not a fun start to the day although worth it in the end with clear day and amazing views! 14hrs car to car. " — richardnorton • Jul 23, 2022

"It was a drive out after work Friday night kind of deal. Road from the north was closed due to June washouts so we came in from the south and couldn't drive the last 5km of Harrison Creek FSR. Full moon night for my 34th night under the stars this year. 13.5 hrs round trip (included extra 9km down the logging road). Sunshine to full whiteout conditions. We saw it all. Very pleasant up and down scree slopes. " — alexjoseph • Sep 21, 2013

Which was made more challenging by the deluge of rain we received the night before and during the climb. The creek at the start of the climb nearly doubled in volume from when we first arrived, completely submerging the flag taped trail at points and necessitating several precarious crossings and eating up a lot of time "alder-bashing". This was our only deviation from Corbett's description of the SW route which was fairly straight-forward. The register was placed in a cairn at the peak in 1993 by a party including Rick Collier (the second man to climb all 54 11000ers). The next logged summit comes 13 years later in 2006 with only one party summiting. As of yesterday myself and Jens Radetzki were the only party in the log for 2011. I mistakenly pocketed a red 'prayer flag' someone had placed in the register. I apologize, and I pledge to take it and place i..." — ChadKnight • Jul 13, 2011
