"Started early from the AMC Highland Lodge, then climbed up to Mizpah Hut, summited Pierce, Eisenhower, Franklin, Little Monroe and Monroe. Then dropped the pack and Turkey and I ran the ridge 5 more miles out to Boot Spur and took a peak down in Tuckerman’s Ravine." — wiweasel • Jul 4, 2024
"Single-day Presidential Traverse to finish off 3 days of peakbagging and Appalachian Trail redlining in White Mountain National Forest, New Hampshire. The Traverse, spanning Pinkham Notch to Crawford Notch, covered 25 miles and 8,300 feet of elevation gain in 14 hours moving. Summited Franklin on the way to Eisenhower. " — wacbravo • Sep 9, 2019
"Last week we were all set to go camping ... a nice long weekend of relaxing. At the last minute our friends talked us into joining them to complete one of the Northeast Ultra 8's - the Presidential Traverse - 24 miles and 9200 feet of gain over some tough terrain. It was not my best day, I wasn't feeling it and I was slower - thankfully these guys were not worried about pace and instead they were all about enjoying the day, working together to get it done and keeping it fun - so thankful for a great crew!" — deb-and-rob • Aug 31, 2019
"If at first you don't succeed, try, try, try again. Last week we got blown off of Madison before we could summit. This week we did a last minute change of plans as the weather looked favorable for a traverse. Temps were at least 30 degrees warmer (more if you include the lack of windchill). Just under 20 miles over the highest peaks in NH." — markst-john • Mar 26, 2016
"Attempted a full Presidential Traverse last weekend, but due to weather and a lack of time, we had to bail at Washington. So this weekend we went back out and finished what we started! It was an absolutely gorgeous sunny day, hiking up and over snow covered peaks. Honestly couldn't have asked for a better hiking day!" — matt-beard • Dec 5, 2015
"Last week we attempted a full traverse of the Presidential Range - bailing out on top of Mt Washington due to conditions and lack of time. This week we decided to go back and finish what we started last week. We hiked the Ammonoosuc Trail from the Cog Railroad Base station up to Mt Washington and went south hitting Mt Washington, Monroe, Little Monroe, Franklin, Eisenhower and Pierce. A top ten hiking day under cloudless skies and warm temps.

"Attempted a Presidential Traverse over 3 days and 2 nights solo. Didn't see a soul for 2 days once I was above treeline. Started in Crawford Notch and ended in Randolph at Lowe's store. Very poor visibility most of the time due to fog and blowing snow, about an hour or so of sunshine over the whole 3 day period. Most difficult trek to date and very rewarding. Summited Pierce, Eisenhower, Franklin, Monroe, traversed around Washington, Clay and Jefferson then headed down because of worsening weather. Great experience, certainly a mental strengthener." — chrisr00d • Mar 5, 2013
"Did a Pressie Traverse 2 nighter, Webster through Madison (didn't summit Clay or Madison though) the 3rd-5th of July. Trail conditions were great, first day was mostly sunny with a great view, the 4th of July we were mostly in the clouds with 2 thunderstorms that afternoon and night, the 5th was in the clouds above 3000 feet. Everyone survived with a few bumps burns and bruises. Great time!" — chrisr00d • Jul 4, 2012
