Started from Stratton Open Space, which was a mistake. It was much further to the trailhead than I imagined. The Columbine path along the way is quite beautiful though. The trail is well maintained. The hike is slow, steady, easy, and has stunning views from the top. It was a little smokey out from the California wildfires still, and I hate to say it, but the haze made the canyon quite beautiful in the waning light.
