"Drove the back roads to revisit Mt. Curwood, once thought to be the highest point in Michigan until it was discovered that Mt. Arvon was eleven inches higher back in the 80's." — StoneMan • Jul 27, 2019
"Michigan was the last state to properly identify its highest point. Before 1978 Mount Curwood was believed to be the highest, but Mount Arvon is actually 9 inches highest. I climbed both in 1988 on the same day just to be sure I reached the highest point in Michigan. The logging road to Mount Curwood was very muddy and I worried about getting stuck so far from any help." — Stewy • Jun 16, 1988
