After establishing camp at Elbow Lake, T. Bain and I picked our way up a rocky gully to a small, ice covered tarn below the peak. Worked our way up through a maze of rock ledges and chutes, reaching the top before afternoon thunderstorms hit. Not much time to spend on top as storms were approaching -- made it down to boulder field below peak after glissading on snow for shelter as a storm rolled in. Nice rock cave and a beer to wait out the storm, then on down to relax in one of the most beautiful arenas for a camp I have been in. Hell of thunderstorm that night as I drifted to sleep in the tent!
