"Another one for the Liz list.
We grabbed breakfast at Summit Cafe, and headed to do Rundle at about noon. We didn't get far, as a violent electrical storm...with hail! rolled through. Hopped into the car to wait it out in town, but it cleared quickly. Decided to do Cory instead.
It's still a very steep hike (mostly).
The big cornice after the first summit is still hanging around. We were going to call it quits, but I decided to downclimb. Not easy in approach shoes with no ice ax, but the snow took kick steps nicely. The ramble to the true summit was uneventful.
Nice day. " — mike_rogers81 • Jul 7, 2019
"My previous go at this left me extremely close to the south summit. I claimed it base on the GPS data I had. We got turned around by snow and fog. This time I bagged both summits without any uncertainty. Walked up in shorts and t-shirt, only got a few droplets of rain traversing over to the north summit. Found the proper trail on the way down. I went up using the rib to the left of the proper one. It felt more on the easy side of moderate than easy." — BertB • Aug 4, 2018
"Took the Kane/Spirko route up the south slopes. Off to a bumpy start by not getting onto the trail right away. Checked out the Hole in the Wall cave on the way up, then picked up a hiker along the route. Didn't make it to the second (north) summit due to snow and cornice's in two places. Some bushwhacking on the way down due to getting off course. A very enjoyable day in the heat and great views in the afternoon. " — MarkJPerkins • Jul 8, 2017
"After work ascent with Blake. Cold and cloudy when we left Calgary but sunny and bluebird at Mt Cory. Ascended and bagged both summits about half hour before sunset and back to car in 5 hrs. Back home by 10:30pm. Beautiful night under the stars. Incredible views of Assiniboine.

"Summitted the peak with the CSMC. Was in winter conditions so was difficult as had to circumvent cornices and forced us to take the steeper rock once we were heading towards the summit. Left my scrambling gloves in the cave on the way back. whoops." — dkmountainman • Jun 13, 2011
