On the return from a short break at Braemar, we stopped to climb this symmetrical peak, which stands at the south edge of the high ground forming the Glen Shee mountains. We started from Cray and made a direct ascent E , then SE adjacent to a conifer plantation before going steeply up the open heather hillside to the summit. Here there were good views of the Southern Highlands to the west and the Glenshee hills to the north.
