I arrived at the trailhead around 0900 and took the route where you go to the right of the sign that says "Private Property," as I had explained to me that the person does not mind thru-hikers and its only private for like 100 feet (I think?). However, it appears on the way down, if you simply take the wider trail near the parking lot on the right about 30 more feet down, on the left is a steep climb up that takes you the same way. I recommend this route since it's easier to follow and does not risk the whole private property bit to my understanding.

The hike was surprisingly steep and tricked me a few times with false summits. The hike had decent views of Douglas and Mexico on one side and Bisbee and Sierra Vista on other sides. The best views were from Fissure Peak, but the trail was much less obvious. I stayed close to the barbed wire fence if I could not find the trail, and it usually met up with it sooner or later throughout the hike. The trails were covered with overgrowth, specifically cholla, which made dodging the spikes a workout in itself. I recommend for a short half-day hike if in the area, but bring sunscreen, pants (to save your legs), and at least 2 liters of water. The total hike was 5.9 miles and I completed it in 2 1/2 hours.
