"After having summited first Coney and then Goodman Kellie and I headed off to our 3rd and final peak of the day to complete the TLT. A gradual climb put us on the summit. Both the tower and the rangers cabin are in great shape. Enjoyed the beautiful 360 degree view from the tower. Took advantage of one of the two benches to take a snack and beverage break. Returned to car at 3pm to start our long ride home." — garyogden • Aug 2, 2023
"Been about 7 years since I hiked the TLT - was invited by my friendneighbor to go out on a nice day and it was certainly beautiful weather! Warmer than expected, and way more families and dogs on the trails than anticipated for a Wednesday, but everyone was polite and respectful and none of the three trails or summits felt too crowded.
Third peak of the day with a nice large parking area. Of the three, this trail headed uphill right away. Not much for mud, but we did encounter some deer flies here. We were pleased to discover a beautiful bench on an overlook spot to sit while we had the summit to ourselves after climbing the tower. Considering I had been here twice before I was very surprised as it did not look new but I hadn’t seen it before. Gorgeous views, cab was unlocked, all windows in tact, nearly no graffiti in it. Also no map table, womp womp. It’s clear the club that maintains this trail and tower area care about their work - the small ladders and planks in the woods were in good condition and we also encountered what appeared to be a newly cut stone staircase near the summit - a lot of work gets put in here! Overall, a lovely day with great company. " — kellieirene • Aug 2, 2023

"Doing the Tupper Lake Triad in the afternoon after driving up in the AM. Coney had the best view by far, Goodman much less but still nice and view from Arab is great once you climb to the fire tower cab. Lucked out with sunny skies and warm temps. for fall.

"1st of the winter TL Triad. Awesome day, very sunny with a lot of snow. No spikes needed, only snowshoes. The cabin at the summit was open so we got to check that out. Went up the fire tower for a stunning view. " — Amanda46 • Feb 17, 2019

"Very nice trail with a great little museum and a wonderful guide sharing info on the fire tower. Very well maintained tower - wish all fire towers had "FRIENDS" to take care of them. We donated to the cause and wish everyone that enjoys fire towers could chip in." — pawsalot • Aug 25, 2018
"Finished the triad Today on this peak. Second time climbing this mountain. Another cold day, I had food and a biscuit treat at the top. I have now done the triad in Both Winter and 3 season." — B-Bomb • Dec 9, 2017
