"Mountain home was closed for the season so I hiked in from the locked gate to Shake Camp through mammoth Sequoias. Left the trail at redwood crossing and angle north to a gully splitting the south and true summit. Really thick brush and willows about halfway up. There's low class 4 to gain the upper gully but this can be avoided by bushwacking up a ramp on the right. Great scramble to the summit and views of Mineral King and the western Sierras.
