We had a couple of days free in Curitiba and hired a great local guide Veleda who took us on the traverse of Piolho, Caratuva, and Taipabucu. It was cloudy with some rain and the trail was at times challenging to discern, but we cover the 13km with 2000m of elevation gain in 8 hours.
