"A slightly frustrating day as a bit of faffing meant I ended heading up this rather than Serra Dolcedorme, which I'd have preferred to prioritise. Nonetheless a good day's hiking, leaving from Colle Impiso, following the track at first (missed the actual trailhead as I was trying to escape two coach loads of tourists who had just been disgorged and were busy singing, shouting, and pissing everywhere), which eventually goes south for a long while, dropping to 1500m before rising to 1700m at the Piano Guadalino. From here the route rises along the west side of this hill, carrying on SSE, before doubling back, more or less, behind the rocky outcrops to gradually arrive at the top to the East. Returned by the same route. Found the trail for the last section easier. Mostly ok sign posted.
I was tempted to continue to Dolcedorme but was dissuaded by poor visibility at the top and the threat of rain. And I was glad I didn't because I was cream crackered by the end. Some 16km in all." — vygodski • May 26, 2024
