This was a trip taken without much planning, but worked out simply enough. Turned off the road to Bassiano from the west, up the carpinetaria? Parked near the end of this road in a small layby near the final house. Here took the gravel track round, following the signs until the first dogleg, dropping down then up, around a spur, and then, after the second dogleg, heading up along various paths in forest but relatively open. First climbed to the top of the unnamed hill to the east of Pizzone, then, following a wide path to the col, and then up Pizzone from the south east. The top is very flat and within stands a tree, not sure of the type, in a very prominent and one imagines deliberate spot. Headed down to the col but rather than return the same way, skirted around the unnamed hill on the south side, passing along side a very proiminet crag. Then remet the main paths in a clearing and proceeded back along gravel path. A good hill. Lot of opportunities for deviating and exploring.
